Upsidedown Pineapple
Overview
While browsing a stock photo site called Public.Work, I stumbled across a collection of abstract images that—I’ll be honest—I wasn’t quite sure how to interpret. But they intrigued me enough to start experimenting, and this poster is what came out of that process.
Approach
It all began with the two squares at the top. The pineapple theme came later, as I tried to make sense of what the piece was becoming. It ended up referencing polyamory and the vast complexity that exists within that kind of environment—something I’m personally not familiar with. The act of flipping just the top, cut-off portion of the pineapple became symbolic: a sign of growth and movement, but without full commitment.
