Overview
This website has been in continuous development for over two years. While the main framework was built around three years ago, I’ve used it ever since as a living project to sharpen and expand my HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills.
The site serves as the central hub for all of my digital and physical creations, functioning both as the official website for my business, Jol.Design, and as a personal creative archive.
Approach
The Jol.Design website began as a hand-coded experiment — a personal challenge to build something from scratch without relying on templates or page builders.
While I needed a functional site for my business, I chose not to take the easy route. Instead, I saw this as a chance to create something unique while pushing my technical and creative boundaries.
Once the core structure was complete, I kept refining it, using the site as a space to test techniques, push creative ideas, and continue learning.
It’s more than a portfolio; it’s a reflection of how I grow as both a designer and developer. Every update has been an opportunity to implement something new, whether it's an animation, a smoother layout system, or a deeper integration of responsive design principles.
The website hosts my client work, art pieces, experimental projects, and written content. It also acts as the digital face of Jol.Design, offering a unified place where people can explore what I do, who I am, and what I’m building — both for clients and for myself.
